Mass Timber Output Continues to Grow

Recently we came across an interesting article on LinkedIn which detailed the scale of investment required versus volume output achieved for start-up CLT (cross laminated timber) plants.

The article also takes a look at the various advantages and disadvantages of semi and fully automated manufacturing facilities. Read it here.

While this is specific to CLT, lessons can be taken from this and applied in manufacturing GLT/Glulam, LVL (laminated veneer lumber) and of course our own Woodspan PLT Panels.

Taking this snapshot of recent investment across the globe in CLT, it is safe to say – mass timber use continues to achieve rapid growth.
